"Clary Fray"-Obituary (City of Bones)
I'm sad to recall, but a very close friend of mine, Clary Fray, passed away last week due to a terrible accident. Clary, Jace, The Lightwoods and I went patrolling the dark, miserable alley ways of New York City on that glum Friday, and heard an horrible screeching sound. We turned a corner and saw a lifeless body of a young girl with black hair as dark as ravens and hands as cold as a ice. Her body was drained of life and all the happiness was too, but there was something else, a gruesome, sharp fanged bite, which blood seeped out of and down her neck creating a trail that led into a night sky of shadows. I warned Clary it was a bad idea, but she won the argument and I had no choice, in to the shadows where anything could happen. Suddenly, the darkness crept over us creating a seal that blocked all sunlight to enter. Vampires. I was right. We never should have come. Screams came from my friends around me and cries of laughter from these beautiful but deadly people exploded into the night. I felt my self growing weak as blood seeped from my wounds. Just as all hope seemed lost, Jace pulled out his glowing sword and used the last bit of his strength to scare them away. One by one we all escaped from the darkness and back into reality. All but one. Days past and we began to believe Clary was not truly dead. Until, just yesterday we went patrolling again and found her lifeless body floating on the little river that ran just outside the city. As her blood turned the water a cherry red, we hugged, cried, said good bye and buried her body outside the institute along with all the others. Then we reported to Hodge. Clarys funeral is set for next Tuesday which happens to be her birthday. Everybody from Idris is going. But not me.
Wow, Maya what a powerful obituary! Why do you like this book?
ReplyDeleteThat is a great obituary Maya!! What genre of books do you like the most?? And why??
ReplyDeleteI like this book because theres a lot of suspense which i love, a serious love triangle, which i love and its a great book in general, as you know Anna you've read them. Thanks for your comment!
ReplyDeleteI like many types of genres, action, mystery, funny ones too! But I always like book with that special twist/ cliffhanger(hunger games) because of that excitement and how much you want to not put it down. Thats an ideal book! I also love trilogies, and series (long ones) cause i hate it when a book i love has to end. But don't they all, everything must end!(WHYY) Thanks for your comment!
